  I use FreeBSD 7 RELEASE with GNOME 2.20.1, i don't mount any device manually.

  in /etc/rc.conf

  # add...

  Then reboot your pc.

  I use Ralink WIFI without problem.

  Ubuntu works fine with less configuration than FreeBSD....
